This week test has concluded, and we have begun the bug-fixing process.

Hey guys, it’s been roughly 2 months since our last beta test and we’re really excited to finally show off some of the features we’ve been working on in the time that has passed. To get involved here’s what you need to know!

This coming weekend (20/4) we’ll be running a 48 hour test. The exact localized start time can be found here.

Steam authentication

Pirated copies are not supported, you cannot play without buying the game!

This beta test will be the first to make use of our Steam authentication, therefore requiring all beta test participants to own a copy of Just Cause 2 and also have an account registered on our website. Along with this comes our new launcher which streamlines the process of finding the server you want to join on our website and getting into game without a hassle.


The launcher allows you to quickly check for any news updates and to reconnect to servers you have recently visited.

Donations

We’re also finally accepting donations! All relevant information can be found by clicking the donation button at the top of the website. Donating any amount will remove the ads from our website and give you a special donator status on our forum so that you may be recognized as having contributed to the development of this project.

      Fixed crash where mounted gun was non-existent on a vehicle
      Players can now be teleported while in an in-progress teleport
      Fixed inaccurate camera position and angle issue
      Fixed money not being reset on disconnection
      Fixed aerial vehicles not being teleported properly
      Fixed threading crash issues
      Fixed issue where loading screen could fail to display properly
      Fixed issue with timestep sync
      Chat now renders on top of all other GUI
      Fixed issue where loading screen wouldn't go away on death while disconnected
      Fixed vehicle spawn callback being called when invalid vehicle ID passed in
      Fixed inability to type ~ in chat
      Fixed CEGUI resource management being crash-prone
      Fixed CEGUI input blocking being sporadic
      Fixed launcher crash if website is down

   Server
      Fixed crash where vehicle was non-existent
      Fixed crash where vehicle existed, but was not in vehicle pool
      Fixed crash on attempting to get value from a non-existent category in config
      Fixed crash on error in UDP receive handler
      Fixed authentication issue where clients were unable to connect
      Fixed authentication time sync issue where clients were unable to connect

      Significant speedup in render functions, increasing FPS
      Removed F3 to disconnect (use disconnect console command)

Next test sounds promising, but weren't you telling somenthing about ''We're planning a test, followed up  by a release''?

Hi there, my first post :). I'm looking forward to this test. I own JC2 for a few weeks and it's awesome, so I hope it will be definitely fun to play it with more players.

in the other hand, if you release this mod i could play with latin american friends so...

The default value (and therefore the test's maximum players) is 5000.

Considering that last beta test had over 10,000 players and some were from as far away as China, Korea, Australia and such, I don't think you will lag the server :)

FYI: The majority of the dev team is Australian (including myself), so we've cut down on lag issues where possible :)
