Hi there. I have managed to export an object from the Just Cause 1 game. I used the agency car due to multiple reasons and was successful with acquiring not just the 3D model, but the correlating textures as well, as seen in the link below.

At this point I'd like to ask the community and the devs for advice on how to port it over to the JC2/JC3 game, since I have been unsucessful with any of my used methods.
Thanks in advance^^

So how hard is it make and implement a new character model vs. a new car model?
I was curious because I'm interested in creating a custom character if/when these tools get released.

it has been done before. It's probably easier porting over character models than vehicles, due to the smaller amount of textures being applied on the 3D model.

The exporter now supports car windows and custom character models.

More to come...

This looks very interesting! I'm doing animation as part of a uni course, and it would be amazing to get the chance to add custom animations into jcmp. Really great work!

I have never done anything with animation, but it seems interesting. Gotta ask the devs how the anims work with the jcmp engine tho. It might be a long process to understand and alter these animations.
With the release of JC3 you might have a brigher future with animation tho.
Stay tuned.

Einige Server haben die Enterhaken Funktion deaktiviert (z.B. Roleplay Server). Wenn du ein script selber erstellen wilst, rate ich dir auf zu suchen. Da kannst du etwas ├╝ber das scripten lernen

Keep up the work SubZer0, I'd love to see something like this implemented  :D

Thanks a lot. I'll keep working on it. Here's a little sneak peek:

Any news on this? I'd love to be able to export character models and import them to Blender, if that's not too much to ask :D

Do you want to use models from the just cause 2 game, or do you want to put other models into the game?

I managed to port the model over to blender and it looks fine. I'm having some trouble with applying textures atm though. Once I've solved that issue, I'll be using Trix' tool to include it in the game.
I will keep this topic updated when I'm making progress and upload a couple of pics later

JC2-MP / Re: Is learning how to mod JC2-MP worth it?

modding will give you tons of experience and you'll find new friends.

yes, the community is smaller than it was at the beginning, but I'm sure that people will be joining back when there is a new update, or a cool script that people enjoy.

With the release of JC3 coming up, you'll be prepared to mod that as well thanks to your efforts on jc2.

It's worth it.
