With JC2-MP approaching release we've decided to dedicate this public test to test all of our Lua scripting functionality by running the Faction Wars gamemode. Not only does this extensively use nearly every scripting function we have, it's also very exciting to play!



You'll be trying to capture all of the 370 bases to gain vehicles, money and reputation. Unfortunately, the competing factions will be trying to do the same so it's up to your faction to protect existing bases at the same time!

As always, you can find a countdown on our homepage and a list of local times on our website.

And now, the changelogs for the previous build, and this test:

0.0.14 Changelog

New Features:
    Client
    Base features
       Replaced Direct2D-based renderer with a DirectX 10-based renderer that utilizes dreadmullet's TextReindeer text renderer, massively increasing performance
       Added ability to draw text in 3D space

    Lua
       Mouse cursor position and visibility control functions added
       Game input manipulation functions added
       Added Client:GetStreamedPlayers() to return players that are near the local player, allowing for a much smaller list of players to be iterated

Bug Fixes:
    Client
       Fixed console command space crash bug
       Fixed crash if a chat autocompletion was attempted during server connection
       Fixed invalid weapons crashing the client

    Server
       Fixed Linux server crashes on start-up

    Shared
       Fixed invalid names being allowed to join

Other:
    Client
       Joining from Recent Servers/URL saves IP in launcher automatically
       Moved chat window toggle to F3 and disabled chat input if hidden

    Shared
    Lua
       Refactored Lua API to be more consistent

0.0.15 Changelog

Bug Fixes:
    Client
       Fixed rare crash bug with hooked DirectX creation
       Fixed GWEN not handling resolution resizing
       Fixed Image memory leaks

    Server
       Fixed bug where a 64-bit pointer was truncated to 32-bit in Lua, causing server crashes

    Shared
       Fixed Lua player:GetSteamId being invalidated post-disconnect

As you can see, this build's mostly bug-fixes: the exciting part is the script.
This test's going to bring out the big guns - we hope to see you playing this weekend! :)
